Bibechana Paudel, a permanent resident of Chitwan, Nepal, has completed an undergraduate degree in Agriculture Sciences. She is driven to make a meaningful impact in rural farming society through leadership and extension services. Bibechana will be focusing on rooftop farming by utilizing kitchen waste and plastic waste. She aims to address key Sustainable Development Goals; SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, and SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities.
She believes this initiative will create awareness about utilizing kitchen waste to make compost and recycling plastic waste to make pots for cultivating vegetables, herbs, flowers, and fruits. The project is multi-dimensional, covering various fields such as health and sanitation, a healthy lifestyle, clean and green cities, and the utilization of plastic and organic waste. Bibechana aims to promote recreational activities through rooftop farming, composting, gardening, and self-sufficiency in vegetables at home.
